Uzbekistan, World Bank discuss Partnership Program for 2022-2026

According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction, the parties discussed the World Bank Partnership Program for 2022-2026.
In addition, during the negotiations, the results of implementing the cooperation program of the World Bank Group with Uzbekistan for 2016-2021, achievements, the current portfolio of World Bank programs in Uzbekistan (as of January 1, 2022, 25 projects totaling about $5 billion) and proposals on the main directions of the formation of a new affiliate program were considered.
As part of discussing the World Bank Cooperation Program for 2022-2026, meetings are also planned with representatives of Samarkand, Jizzakh and Syrdarya regions.
In accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers dated November 29, 2021, 10 working groups were formed in 10 priority areas of cooperation in order to prepare a program for 2022-2026 in collaboration with the World Bank and combine it with the country’s development strategy.
