“A Caucasian brown bear, nicknamed Zuzu, was lying on his volley and watching the movements of a woman who threw the girl over a metal barrier. Despite the efforts of our guests and staff, it was not possible to stop the woman. She managed to toss the child into the cage of the beast. Our bear Zuzu quietly fell into the ditch, sniffed the girl and walked away from her,” the report said.

It is noted that the bear did not harm the girl. Also, the staff of the “Predators” department acted quickly and managed to bring the bear into the inner room.

The child was removed from the cage and examined by a zoo nurse. The girl was injured not by her wild teeth and paws, but only by falling from a height of about 5 meters. The initial examination revealed no significant injuries other than bruises.

The child is currently under medical supervision.

The press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office clarified that the woman who threw the 3-year-old girl was her mother.

A criminal case under Paragraph “v” of Article 25-2 (attempted murder) of the Criminal Code was initiated.

The suspect was arrested in a procedural order.
