5.5 billion soums worth of natural gas stolen in 25 days – UZNGI
In the first 25 days of 2022, 215 cases of illegal use of natural gas by wholesale consumers have been registered in Uzbekistan.
The damage caused by them amounted to 5.5 billion soums, about 4.9 million cubic meters of gas was stolen, Uzneftgazinspeksiya reported.
In order to ensure an uninterrupted supply of natural gas to the population and social institutions of the republic, the reduction of natural gas supply at certain times of the day was monitored in accordance with the schedule approved by the local authorities.
As a result of the work carried out, 66.6 million cubic meters of natural gas released from the gas pipelines from the beginning of the year to January 24 this year were directed to households and social institutions.
