First deputy khokim of Chinaz district arrested for receiving $40,000 in bribe
The first deputy khokim of Chinaz district was arrested while receiving $40,000 in bribe, the PGO press service reported in response to a request from Kun.uz.
According to Khayot Shamsiddinov, a spokesman for the Prosecutor General’s Office, the first deputy khokim of Chinaz district on economic issues has been arrested.
Allegedly, he was arrested while receiving $40,000 of the agreed $90,000 in exchange for the sale of 35 hectares of irrigated land belonging to a farm in Akkurgan district and the arrangement of documents through acquaintances working in the district administration.
Along with the first deputy khokim of Chinaz district on economic issues, a “broker” engaged in land sales was also arrested.
It was noted that a criminal case has been initiated under Article 229-6 of the Criminal Code (sale of the right to an irrigated land plot or part thereof or transfer to another person illegally).
The suspect is said to have been arrested in a procedural order.
Earlier, Kun.uz reported that the deputy khokim of Mirishkor district was detained while receiving $50,000 in brube.
