3-year-old boy and his grandfather fell from an escalator in Navoi 

The condition of a 3-year-old boy from Navoi, who fell from an escalator with his grandfather, is improving. He will be transferred from the intensive care unit to the children’s ward in the coming days.

Additional information was provided about the condition of a 3-year-old boy who fell from the escalator of the Yangi Khayot shopping mall in Navoi.

According to the Ministry of Health, as of February 23, the general condition of the patient is improving in dynamics. At present, standard treatments are being carried out by experienced doctors of the regional multidisciplinary children’s medical center.

In addition, the child’s condition is monitored daily by qualified specialists of the Republican Specialized Scientific-Practical Medical Center of Pediatrics.

The patient is scheduled to be transferred from the intensive care unit to the pediatric ward in the coming days.

It should be recalled that the incident occurred on February 18 at about 20:30. They lost their balance on the escalator between the 5th and 4th floors of the complex and fell to the 1st floor.

Citizen Sh.T., born in 1969, died at the scene. The injured 3-year-old grandson, A.T., was immediately admitted to the provincial multidisciplinary children’s medical center.

Then the patient underwent a series of standard neurological, ultrasound and cerebral MSKT examinations. He was initially diagnosed with a joint injury, closed head injury, brain injury, moderate severity, soft tissue injury of the forehead, fracture of the right pelvic bone, right lung injury, left lower extremity soft tissue injury.
