“Evacuation plan is being developed” – Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kyiv issues statement

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kyiv has issued an appeal to Uzbeks currently in Ukraine. The text of the message was published on the official website of the embassy.

“Given the escalation of the situation in Ukraine and the imposition of a state of emergency, we would like to inform the citizens of Uzbekistan:

Currently, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kyiv is developing an evacuation plan and compiling a list of citizens wishing to leave the territory of Ukraine. Taking into account the closure of Ukrainian airspace, departure routes are being determined.

Citizens of Uzbekistan will be additionally notified on the embassy's website www.uzbekistan.org.ua and social media channels as issues related to acceptable evacuation routes are agreed with the interested services of third countries.

All citizens of Uzbekistan wishing to leave Ukraine are asked to send their passport information to the embassy's e-mail address embassy@uzbekistan.org.ua.

We ask the citizens of Uzbekistan in Ukraine to keep calm and be in touch with the embassy in case of additional questions,” the embassy said.
