In a post on X, Zelenskyy said Ukraine deeply valued its traditional friendship with Uzbekistan and remained committed to strengthening bilateral cooperation, including trade and economic ties.
“Grateful to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev for his warm congratulations on the 35th Anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence,” Zelenskyy wrote.
He also wished Mirziyoyev good health and success, and the people of Uzbekistan “a peaceful and prosperous future.”
Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent his congratulations in a letter dated August 24, wishing Zelenskyy and the people of Ukraine a happy Independence Day.
The Uzbek president expressed confidence that joint efforts would help further develop bilateral relations based on traditional friendship and mutual respect. He also wished Zelenskyy good health, family happiness and success in his state duties, and the Ukrainian people peace and prosperity.
