A judge detained in Tashkent for accepting $2,500 in bribe
A judge of the Tashkent City Arbitration Court asked for $4,000 to settle the case in favor of the defendant.
In Tashkent, an arbitrator was arrested for trying to settle a case in favor of the defendant, the press service of the PGO Department reported.
Judge of the Tashkent City Arbitration Court M.K. reviewed the case between the plaintiff F.T. and the defendant in favor of M.Kh. and promised to settle the case in favor of M.Kh. The arbitrator pledged that this decision would not be revoked in the future through his acquaintances working in senior positions.
The judge, in return, fraudulently demanded $4,000 from citizen M.Kh., the fraudster was arrested on material evidence when he received $2,500 of the agreed amount.
On this fact, a criminal case has been filed under Articles 168 (fraud) and 28, 211 (bribery) of the Criminal Code. An investigation is under way.
