Uzbekistan increases knitwear exports
In January-February 2022, Uzbekistan exported to 15 foreign countries 8,000 tons of knitwear worth $45.6 million.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the volume of knitwear exports increased by $8.4 million compared to the corresponding period last year.
The list of top importers includes Russia ($14.5 million), Kyrgyzstan ($14.2 million), Italy ($8.6 million) and Ukraine ($2.8 million).
The city of Tashkent ($19.1 million), Tashkent region ($9.1 million), Andijan ($6.4 million) and Bukhara ($3 million) are among the regions that exported the most knitwear products abroad in January-February 2022.
In January 2022, Uzbekistan exported 43.5 thousand tons of yarn worth about $146.6 million.
