Abdulla Aripov, Alikhan Smailov discuss the launch of an industrial cooperation center
On May 4, a telephone conversation took place between the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Alikhan Smailov, and the head of the government of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov.
As the press service of the government of Kazakhstan reported, during the conversation, the parties discussed topical issues of deepening bilateral relations, including increasing the volume of mutual trade, industrial cooperation and partnership in the water management sector.
Alikhan Smailov noted that in the first quarter of this year, the trade turnover between the two countries exceeded $1 billion, which is 27% higher than the same period last year.
In addition, the parties considered the implementation of previously reached agreements, in particular, the launch of the “Central Asia” International Center for Industrial Cooperation.
