Entrepreneurs who want to build student housing to receive a 50% subsidy
On May 6, the procedure for allocating subsidies from the state budget for the construction of student accommodation on the terms of public-private partnership was announced, the Justice Ministry reported.
Projects for the construction of student dormitories are subsidized at the rate of 50% of the cost per seat according to the design and estimate documentation. However, this should not exceed 100 BCAs (27 million soums).
A tender will be held among entrepreneurs for projects on construction of dormitories. According to the statute, after the PPP agreement is included in the register of PPP projects, the private partner applies to the public partner with an application for a subsidy.
The public partner will review the application within 3 working days (for additional study – within 10 working days) and send it to the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education.
The Ministry will review the application within 5 working days and sign a grant agreement with a public partner to provide the subsidy.
Within 2 working days, the private partner will receive a subsidy of 15% of the total cost of the dormitory in the first stage for the construction of a student housing to a private partner.
In subsequent stages, a subsidy of 50% of the work performed within 3 working days will be provided from the date of signing the act of work performed, including the amount of the previously issued.
For information, in 2022-2025 it is planned to build a total of 228 (this year – 47) student dormitories (designed to 400 beds) in the country.
