Prices for basic foodstuffs in Uzbekistan’s markets announced
The minimum and maximum prices for certain types of food products in dekhkan markets of Uzbekistan have been announced.
The State Statistics Committee conducted monitoring at the central dekhkan markets in the regions.
As of May 18, 2022, food prices are as follows:
• bone-in beef (1 kg) – 45,000 - 73,000 soums;
• lamb (1 kg) – 55,000 - 86,000 soums;
• potatoes (1 kg) – 2,500 - 8,000 soums;
• onion (1 kg) – 2,000 - 5,000 soums;
• carrots (1 kg) – 2,000 - 7,000 soums;
• eggs (10 pcs.) – 6,000 - 15,000 soums;
• rice (1 kg) – 4,500 - 21,000 soums;
• vegetable oil (1 l) – 15,000 - 28,000 soums;
• sugar (1 kg) – 9,000 - 13,000 soums.
Monitoring takes into account food prices in dekhkan markets. Prices in supermarkets, minimarkets and shops are not taken into account.
