76% of one-time benefits distributed to needy people
In Uzbekistan, one-time allowances in the amount of 200, 300 and 400 thousand soums, depending on the category, are being distributed to 8,903,751 citizens (4.5 million of them – children). According to the Ministry of Finance, as of 09:00 on June 1, 75.8% of recipients had received money.
One-time financial assistance is provided to half of 8.9 million citizens in cash, by bank card. A total of 2.2 trillion soums is being distributed during the one-time campaign.
As the Ministry of Finance reported, according to the presidential decree of May 25, more than 4 million 256 thousand people registered by the Pension Fund are being paid pensions and benefits in the amount of 1.3 trillion soums:
ꞏ For pensioners living in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and regions – 300 thousand soums;
ꞏ For pensioners living in Tashkent – 400 thousand soums.
Also, more than 4 million 647 thousand soums were allocated for low-income families and 929.5 billion soums for each child under 18 years of age from low-income families through the information system “Single Register of Social Protection”.
According to the resolution, those who are entitled to one-time financial assistance in several categories will be paid one-time financial assistance in each category.
