Ministry of Energy: More than 40 private gas stations used to sell gasoline with underfilling
10% of sold gasoline from filling stations, checked by government agencies, does not meet quality standards.
Private gas stations sold 393 thousand liters of gasoline with violations in a few days, Spot reports with reference to the press service of the Energy Ministry.
From May 25 to May 28, the Uzneftegazinspektsiya, subordinated to the ministry, conducted control checks at 117 gas stations owned by 113 private companies. During the inspections, cases of underfilling of fuel, as well as the sale of low-quality goods, were revealed.
It turned out that 230 thousand liters of gasoline do not meet quality standards. This is 10% of the total volume sold by gas stations during this time.
Gaps were identified in accounting for the arrival and consumption of fuel. Unaccounted for shortages of oil products totaled 150,000 liters, and the surplus amounted to another 13,000 liters.
Moreover, the inspection found almost 500 technical and metrological deficiencies. Of these, 450 deviations were found to be acceptable.
However, in 43 cases, there was an underfilling of fuel to consumers – from 10 to 740 ml for every 10 liters.
The largest volume of violations was found in the Andijan region – they affected the sale of 94,000 liters of oil products, followed by Surkhandarya (70,000 liters) and Tashkent (44,000 liters) regions. In Tashkent, violations of 18,000 liters were revealed.
