Uzbekistan introduces new payments and compensations for participants of the Second World War 

The President signed a resolution “On further improvement of the system for improving the material support of participants and veterans of the Second World War, as well as supporting lonely elderly and disabled people”.

According to the document, a procedure is established in accordance with which: 

- Veterans of the war of 1941-1945, former minor prisoners of fascist concentration camps and citizens who worked during the blockade of the city of Leningrad, as well as lonely elderly and disabled people in need of outside care, instead of food products and hygiene products delivered free of charge, will be introduced a monthly payment of an additional payment in a single amount of the BCA; 
- Veterans of the war of 1941-1945 and former minor prisoners of fascist concentration camps and citizens who worked during the blockade of the city of Leningrad, instead of the necessary clothes and shoes delivered free of charge, will be introduced a compensation for the purchase of clothes, paid annually in August in the amount of 15 BCAs.

At the same time, the additional payment is being made on the basis of information about the lonely elderly or persons with disabilities who need outside care, provided by the Agency for Developing Medical and Social Services, the organization responsible for assigning pensions and benefits. 

Compensation and additional payments will be paid to persons in accordance with the current procedure for the payment of their pensions and benefits. 

The Ministry of Finance was instructed to ensure the allocation of funds necessary for the implementation of the measures provided for by this decree, within the limits of the funds provided for in 2022 in the parameters of the state budget, for the delivery of food products, hygiene products and clothing to veterans of the 1941-1945 war on a free basis, former minor prisoners of fascist concentration camps and citizens who worked during the blockade of the Leningrad city, as well as lonely elderly and disabled people in need of outside care.
