Largest share of resident population in Uzbekistan is people aged 40-49 years – Statistics Committee
The State Statistics Committee has provided information on the share of the population by age group.
According to the committee, as of January 1, 2022, the permanent population of Uzbekistan was 35.2 million people.
The share of the population by age groups:
- up to 4 years - 11.1 percent;
- 5-9 years - 9.7 percent;
- 10-14 years old - 8.9 percent;
- 15-19 years old - 7.4 percent;
- 20-24 years old - 7.5 percent;
- 25-29 years old - 9.0 percent;
- 30-34 years old - 8.9 percent;
- 35-39 years old - 7.8 percent;
- 40-49 years old - 11.8 percent;
- 50-59 years old - 9.1 percent;
- 60-69 years old - 6.0 percent;
- 70-74 years old - 1.4 percent;
- 75-79 years old - 0.7 percent;
- 80-84 years - 0.5 percent;
- 85 years and older - 0.2 percent.
