Serdar Berdimuhamedov to visit Uzbekistan

At the beginning of the conversation, Mirziyoyev congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his 65th birthday, sincerely wishing him health, prosperity, success, peace and prosperity to the people of Turkmenistan.

The great contribution of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the formation of modern Turkmenistan and increasing the authority of the state in the international arena, strengthening the Uzbek-Turkmen relations of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership was especially noted.

During the conversation, issues of further expansion of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries in the context of preparations for the upcoming visit of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Uzbekistan were discussed.

Special attention was paid to the promotion of joint projects of cooperation in the field of trade and industry, transport and logistics, energy, agriculture, as well as the intensification of interregional contacts and cultural-humanitarian exchange.

The parties exchanged views on topical aspects of regional cooperation, including on issues of promoting lasting peace and the socio-economic reconstruction of Afghanistan.

The leader of Uzbekistan also sincerely wished successful holding of the upcoming Caspian Summit, which is taking place these days in the capital of Turkmenistan.
