Russia significantly increases grants for students from Uzbekistan
From the new academic year, the number of grants for students from Uzbekistan in Russian higher education institutions will increase.
This was announced at a meeting in Tashkent by Pavel Shevtsov, a deputy head of the department at Rossotrudnichestva.
“Uzbekistan is a strategic partner for us, and we are ready to help the republic in many areas of humanitarian policy. For example, every year we increase the number of quotas for admission to Russian higher education institutions, invite the best teachers and experts to conduct master classes, contribute to the improvement of professors’ qualifications and training of new personnel,” said Shevtsov.
It is noted that the number of grants for Uzbek students increased from 405 to 750 over the past year. Today, the number of applications is almost 3 times the number of available places – 2,124.
