Self-employed individuals in Uzbekistan may work as taxi drivers
From September 1 of this year until the end of 2024, self-employed people in Uzbekistan will be able to provide taxi services.

This is stated in the relevant resolution of the head of state.
To obtain a taxi driver’s license, an individual will need to apply on a Single Portal of interactive public services and pay 300,000 soums.
In addition, the requirement under which a license to operate a taxi could be obtained if the age of the car did not exceed 10 years.
Also, the frequency of mandatory medical and technical examination is established once a year.
From September 1 of the current year, notarization of transport lease agreements between citizens and legal entities licensed for passenger transportation will not be required. At the same time, these agreements will be subject to electronic accounting with the tax authorities.
