An employer in Volgograd collects passports from Uzbek migrants, forces them to work
With regard to the employer, who forced migrants to work, the issue of initiating a criminal case is being considered.

The Agency for External Labor Migration received information that 38 citizens of Uzbekistan who left for the Volgograd Oblast to work were deceived by the employer, the representative office of Agency in Volgograd reported.
As it turned out, the IDs were taken away from the citizens and they were not paid salaries. In addition, they were subjected to forced labor and physical abuse.
The representative of the Agency for Labor Migration in Volgograd Sherzod Kattakhanov, together with the leadership of the regional police department, went to the place in order to clarify the circumstances of what was happening. Law enforcement agencies were also involved in the raid.
Allegedly, the citizens were sent to Volgograd by a resident of Kashkadarya. He convinced them that the salary would be 40-45 thousand rubles a month and promised to cover all transportation costs.
After arriving in Volgograd, all documents for legalization and obtaining a patent were collected from citizens, but subsequently they were never returned.
According to citizens, they were forced to work 12 hours a day, beaten with a truncheon and a glass bottle.
Later, the employer was detained, and the issue of initiating a criminal case is currently being considered.
All compatriots were returned their IDs and paid wages.
