Nearly 500 thousand people visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes in June

In June 2022, 493.9 thousand foreign citizens visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes, the State Statistics Committee said.

According to the committee, the figure increased by 307.2 thousand, or 2.6 times compared to the same period last year.

During the reporting month, citizens of the following countries visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes:

• Kazakhstan - 178.1 thousand people;
• Kyrgyzstan - 123.3 thousand people;
• Tajikistan - 113.2 thousand people;
• Russia - 53.4 thousand people;
• Turkey - 7.3 thousand people;
• Germany - 2.2 thousand people;
• USA - 1.5 thousand people;
• South Korea - 1.7 thousand people;
• India - 1.5 thousand people;
• Israel - 1.1 thousand people;
• Great Britain - 0.8 thousand people;
• Belarus - 0.9 thousand people;
• France - 0.6 thousand people;
• Italy - 0.6 thousand people;
• Spain - 0.4 thousand peopl
