Uzbekistan becomes leader in money transfers from Kazakhstan
In June, more than 263 thousand transactions worth 104 billion tenge were made from Kazakhstan. In terms of currencies, the main share of transfers was made in dollars (52.8%), in rubles - 23.5% and in tenge - 23.5%.
As the LS edition reports with reference to the National Bank data, most of the money was transferred from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan. So, in June, more than 36.2 billion tenge was sent to this country.
It is followed by Russia (22.5 billion tenge), Turkey (20.7 billion tenge), Georgia (7.8 billion tenge), Kyrgyzstan (4.8 billion tenge) and China (3.3 billion tenge). The least funds were sent to Armenia (1.6 billion tenge) and Ukraine (859.8 million tenge).
Meanwhile, 176.3 thousand transactions worth almost 92 billion tenge were made to Kazakhstan in June from abroad. Here, money mainly came from Russia (66.8 billion tenge), Kyrgyzstan (6.5 billion tenge), Uzbekistan (3.9 billion tenge) and the United States (3.4 billion tenge). The least funds were transferred from Belarus (592.7 million tenge) and Georgia (499.2 million tenge).
Meanwhile, 18.1 thousand transactions worth 14 billion tenge were made within Kazakhstan.
