Japan may introduce autonomous power generation technology in Uzbekistan

Reportedly, during an interview, the Japanese company, together with its partners, expressed interest in implementing a project to introduce autonomous power generation technology in hospitals located in remote areas of the republic, install economical generators and solar panels that generate electricity using gas and diesel fuel.

During the negotiations, issues related to the project of exporting carbon credits to the Japanese side on the basis of JCM (Joint Credit Mechanism) between Uzbekistan and Japan were discussed in detail. To implement the project, it is planned to attract investments from the ministries of energy, health, investment and trade of Uzbekistan, district khokimiyats and local medical institutions, as well as the possibilities of the Official Development Assistance program of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

According to the Japanese side, medical institutions were chosen as the main object of the project in order to ensure the constant availability of alternative energy sources in medical institutions, protect the life and health of patients, reduce costs and meet the growing demand for electricity.

It was emphasized that one of the main goals of introducing the autonomous power generation technology is to meet the growing demand for electricity in the republic, as well as to prevent the occurrence of voltage in the main power transmission networks and small substations.

To demonstrate the achievements and advantages of the project, a Japanese company and its partners were invited to implement a project to install a generator that generates economical alternative energy in one of the local medical institutions of the republic.
