Uzbekistan appoints new Consul General for Rostov-on-Don
Burkhan Alikulov has started work as the new Consul General of Uzbekistan in Rostov-on-Don (Russia).
Alikulov, 40, is a graduate of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, as well as the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
He has been working in the system of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan since 2004. In 2020-2022, he served as the head of the Consular and Legal Department of the ministry.
He replaced Rustam Kurganbayev as Consul General, who had been heading the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in Rostov-on-Don since 2019.
The consular area of the Consulate General includes the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts of Russia.
