The Chinese company Huawei moved part of its employees from Russia to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Some of these employees are managers and heads of vendor divisions from China, this was reported to Vedomosti by a source close to the company. However, the press service of Huawei did not comment on the information about the relocation of employees from Russia.

Denis Kuskov, director general of the Telecom Daily agency, believes that they are mainly talking about moving to Kazakhstan. This republic was chosen because of all the CIS countries, the Kazakh market for Huawei is the largest and most promising in the region.

According to him, the employees transferred to Kazakhstan will be responsible for development of the company’s business not only in this country, but also in all CIS countries.

With the help of relocation, the company wants to avoid secondary sanctions and arrange supplies for parallel imports, Mikhail Burmistrov, CEO of Infoline Analytics, says.

In June, Huawei announced the closure of official stores in Russia. Later it became known about the shortage of spare parts for Huawei smartphones. In July, the company terminated contracts with half of its freelancers in Russia. A significant part of the staff continues to be on vacation, and the company is no longer recruiting new employees.
