Samarkand closing traffic for transit transport
From September 14 to 17, the entrance to the city of Samarkand will be closed for transit vehicles.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, bypass routes will be organized for the transit of cars.
The reason for the measure is the upcoming SCO summit in the city.
From 14 to 17 September, traffic will be restricted on the following streets of Samarkand: Ibn Sino, Bustonsaroy, Universitet Khiyoboni, Namozgokh, Sadriddin Ayniy, Registon, Rudakiy, Shokhizinda, Usto Umar Jurakulov, Islam Karimov, Afrosiyob, Beruniy, Mirzo-Ulugbek, Gulobod, Mukimiy and Dahbed.
On streets with limited traffic, in exceptional cases, ambulances and MES vehicles are allowed to run.
Earlier, citizens wishing to visit Samarkand on September 14, 15, 16 and 17 were asked to postpone their visits.
