In the Chilanzar district, SSS officers stopped a Matiz car. There were two foreign citizens in the car, who were carrying 23 kilograms and 52 grams of opium and 30 kilograms and 122 grams of hashish. It turned out that drugs were brought into the country by drug couriers from Afghanistan. The narcotic substances were confiscated and formalized in a procedural manner.
In Termez, a resident of the Denau district, who had previously been convicted and served a sentence for a serious crime committed abroad, was stopped. While inspecting his Lacetti car, law enforcement officials found 39 kilograms and 520 grams of hashish in it.
In the third case, 2 kilograms and 396 grams of opium, stored for sale, were found in the house of a resident of the Denau district. Allegedly, the detainee was previously convicted of drug-related crimes.
As a result of the operative measures taken, more than 25 kilograms of opium and 69 kilograms and 642 grams of hashish were seized.
On these facts, cases have been initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code. Currently, an investigation is underway.
