Protection warrants were issued to 32,783 women who suffered from harassment and violence.
An AIMC press conference was held with the participation of the first deputy chairman of the State Committee for Family and Women, Ozoda Parpiboyeva, deputy head of the MIA crime prevention service, Umida Abdullayeva, head of the PGO department, Uktam Utayev, and head of the Ministry of Mahalla and Elderly Support Department, Islomiddin Kholikov.
It is noted that more than 27,000 cases of harassment and violence were committed in the family, more than 3,000 – on the street, more than 1,000 – at a public place, 81 – in an educational institution, and 429 – at the workplace.
Physical violence – 9,155, sexual violence – 68, economic violence – 340, mental violence – more than 18,000, harassment – more than 6,000.
In Fergana – 2,520 people, in Khorezm – 1,501 people; in Andijan, Samarkand, Kashkadarya, and Navoi, it was found that the situation of oppression and violence has decreased.
More than 16,000 families were reconciled, more than 14,000 disputes were resolved as a result of issuing protection warrants, administrative/criminal liability was established as a result of 2,862 protection warrants issued, and women’s violated rights were restored.
Proposals based on 6 decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers and 4 draft laws have been made in order to prevent cases of violence against women and to coordinate social rehabilitation work. A joint decision on the July-December 2022 cooperation program for organizing measures aimed at strengthening families and supporting women with 8 ministries and agencies was adopted and its implementation was monitored.
Together with 9 ministries and agencies, a program of cooperative measures on early prevention of negative situations among minors and women who have gone to foreign countries for a long period of time has been developed and implemented.
