Director of Public Employment Assistance Center in Urgench detained for bribery
He is suspected of taking 4 million soums in exchange for adding 4 citizens to the list of temporary unemployed and giving them benefits.
The director of the Public Employment Assistance Center was caught with a bribe in the city of Urganch, Khorezm region.
At an operative event held in cooperation with the Khorezm Regional Office of the PGO Department and employees of the Regional DIA, director of the Urganch City Public Employment Assistance Center D.B. was arrested while accepting a bribe.
Allegedly, he asked for 4 million soums, promising that he would temporarily include 4 citizens in the list of unemployed and assign them benefits. He received 2 million soums of the agreed amount in advance. Later, the official was caught red-handed while accepting the remaining 2 million soums at his workplace.
On the above fact, a criminal case under Article 210 of the Criminal Code (bribery) has been initiated. An investigation is underway.
