SSS officers prevent illegal export of foreign currency in Namangan
Employees of the State Security Service department of the Namangan region carried out an operational measure to prevent the illegal movement of foreign currency across the state border.
As the press service of the law enforcement agency reported, in the Yangikurgan district, a Cobalt car that was under the control of a 31-year-old driver was stopped. The driver was moving in the direction of “Namangan – Nanay”.
When inspecting the car in the presence of attesting witnesses, 200 thousand US dollars were found in its cabin, which were seized in a procedural manner.
Allegedly, the detained citizen entered into an agreement with residents of Kyrgyzstan and tried to illegally transport this large amount of foreign currency to the Kyrgyz Republic.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against him under the relevant article of the Criminal Code.
