In the Andijan region, illegal mining of cryptocurrency was revealed, Spot reports with reference to the PGO Department for Combating Economic Crimes.
According to law enforcement officers, the mining farm was located in the Kurama mahalla, Andijan region. The extraction took place on the territory of a livestock enterprise and a production workshop owned by the I.P. firm.
In two locations, 845 Bitmain digital currency mining units were connected. The farm illegally used electricity for 40.4 billion soums.
The episode is currently under investigation. A criminal case was initiated against owners of the farm under Article 185-2 of the Criminal Code (violations of the rules for the use of electrical, thermal energy, gas and water supply).
This case became at least the fifth since the beginning of the year. In March, the SSS stopped the work of a large farm in the Syrdarya region, equipped by a foreign company. Before that, it managed to get a cryptocurrency for $7.7 million.
In April, law enforcement officers stopped the work of a miner in Khorezm, and in May, they reported the discovery of two more unauthorized mining farms in Gulistan. In September, another illegal farm was revealed in the Samarkand region.
According to the current procedure, all miners must register with the National Agency for Advanced Projects and pay a monthly fee of 3 million soums. In addition, when using electricity from public networks, they are charged an increased fee.
