Uzbekistan tops global ranking in coverage of children with preschool education

Uzbekistan took first place in the global ranking of countries with the best dynamics of enrollment of children in preschool education, writes Finance Inquirer, citing the results of an international study by RGCA and data from UNICEF, the World Bank and the OECD.

The report includes an overview of long-term trends in early childhood education from 2018 to 2020.

According to the data presented in the article, the situation with preschool education in most regions is either stagnating or has dropped, while a handful of countries have shown impressive growth.

The most striking example is Uzbekistan, where the dynamics of growth in the coverage of children aged 3 to 6 with preschool education amounted to 59% in the period under review. Tajikistan followed with 33%.

The results of the USA (-35%), Great Britain (-28%), Australia (-36%) and New Zealand (-37%) look really dramatic. Ireland led the anti-rating with a catastrophic fall of -39% in two years.
