Mirziyoyev puts forward several proposals during his speech at World Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education
On November 15, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev delivered a speech at the World Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education and put forward a number of important proposals.
“I heartily congratulate you on the opening of the World Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education in Tashkent. I express to our distinguished guests, heads of international organizations, ministers and responsible persons of foreign states participating in the international conference sincere gratitude and best wishes. Representatives of about 150 countries of the world are present at our conference today, which is clear evidence of the development of preschool education,” Mirziyoyev said.
The president is confident that the conference will open up new opportunities for further expansion of international cooperation in determining the policy in the field of preschool education until 2030, and on this basis, ensuring quality education for children.
During his speech, Shavkat Mirziyoyev put forward a number of important proposals.
“Firstly, in today’s fast-paced time, when various threats are increasing, preschool children, who are a vulnerable part of the population, are also seriously affected.
Therefore, it is extremely important to effectively address the issue of quality early childhood education at the global level, to develop urgent joint solutions and systemic approaches. With this in mind, we should hold this international conference on a regular basis.
Secondly, we need to create a UNESCO regional center in Tashkent in order to systematically coordinate all efforts in the field of education in accordance with the UN sustainable development goals.
In addition, we must develop a comprehensive program for the implementation of projects and research, together with the World Organization for Early Childhood Development and Education, to prepare new teaching methods and manuals.
At the same time, we are putting forward an initiative to create an international community of educators in order to share best practices, modern interactive teaching methods, practical knowledge and skills in this direction.
Thirdly, it is important to include the issue of early childhood care and education as one of the main topics of the overall agenda of the future UN summit in 2024.
Following the results of our international conference, it would be advisable to adopt a special resolution of the United Nations General Assembly, in which the issue of raising children is fixed as an important factor in achieving universal progress. This document should reflect questions about the role of parents in providing children with quality education and upbringing spiritually and physically mature, their responsibility for the full realization of the abilities and potential of children,” the president said.
