Uzbekistan registered 1,942 twin births in October
In October 2022, 85,306 live births were registered in Uzbekistan.
According to the State Statistics Committee, 44,243 of the newborn babies were boys and 41,063 were girls.
The committee also added that during the reporting month, there were 1,942 twin births in the country.
The number of twin births registered in October by region:
- Andijan region - 228
- Samarkand region - 214
- Fergana region - 210
- Kashkadarya region - 208
- Namangan region - 177
- Surkhandarya region - 165
- Tashkent region - 143
- Bukhara region - 122
- Tashkent city - 110
- Karakalpakstan - 98
- Khorezm region - 87
- Jizzakh region - 66
- Navoi region - 59
- Syrdarya region - 55
