Yesterday, on November 21, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Director General of the French Development Agency Rémy Rioux in Paris as part of his official visit to France.
The sides discussed issues of further expanding cooperation, enriching agreements with new promising projects.
It was noted that with the participation of the agency in Uzbekistan, projects for the development of infrastructure, economic sectors and the social sphere for €1 billion are being implemented. The adoption of a new strategic partnership program will double the size of the portfolio.
Within its framework, it is planned to allocate more than €1 billion to joint projects in the fields of agriculture, energy, green economy, urban development, water supply, banking and transport.
One of the priority areas will be the expansion of public-private partnerships in education, healthcare and the infrastructure environment. The parties noted the importance of mixed financing, including the attraction of direct investments from French companies.
