More than 700 billion soums of budget funds misappropriated over nine months of 2022

Most financial violations were found in the public education system.

The deputies of the legislative chamber considered the report on the execution of the state budget from January to September of this year.

As a result of control measures carried out by the State Financial Control Inspectorate for 9 months of this year, the misappropriation of 704.9 billion soums of budget funds was revealed.

In particular, embezzlement on a large scale was revealed in the system of public education (47 billion soums), healthcare (30 billion soums), preschool education (7 billion soums) and the Ministry of Culture (5.5 billion soums).

In addition, 139 billion soums of budget funds were looted by providing false reports on the completion of projects and by forging documents on the purchase of equipment that was not actually bought.
