President speaks about new projects to be launched in Navoi region
In 2023, projects such as the production of potassium sulfate, polyacrylic fiber, dry cyanide salt, with a total value of $140 million, will be launched.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Navoi region. During the visit, a meeting of the regional Council of People’s Deputies was held, at which the President spoke.
“Our people began to feel changes in their daily lives. Just one example: over the past 3 years, large industrial projects worth $2 billion have been launched in Navoi. As a result, more than 10,000 new jobs were created, an additional 1 trillion soums of tax revenues were received, exports worth $100 million were carried out. The newly commissioned Balpan-tag and Tamdy-bulak mines annually produce 3 million tons of gold-rich ore.
We are also going to launch a $130 million project to expand the Turbay mine at the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine, which is the pride of our country, a $275 million gold processing project is being implemented at the Pistali mine (60 percent of the work has been completed).
A $35 million potassium nitrate production project, a $10 million building materials project in Kyzyltepe, and a $70 million phosphorite project in Karmana are being implemented.
Next year, projects such as the production of potassium sulfate, polyacrylic fiber, dry cyanide salt will be launched.
Our collective farmers also collected a huge yield. If every family is rich and happy, then the country will be prosperous,” Kun.uz correspondent quoted the President as saying.
During the visit, the President will get acquainted with the activities of industrial enterprises, launch new projects and communicate with the population.
