A group of people who illegally registered IMEI codes detained 

During the rapid search activities, a number of citizens, who were illegally registering IMEI codes of mobile devices in violation of the personal laws, were detained, the press service of the MIA Cyber ​​Security Center reports.

It was found out that citizens I.S., M.Sh., K.J. and others conspired in advance and, as a group, obtained passport copies of 175 persons living in different regions of the Republic by various fraudulent means, and using them, registered the IMEI code of mobile devices illegally imported into the territory of Uzbekistan.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against I.S., M.Sh., K.J. and others under Paragraphs “a,b”, Part 2 of Article 141-2 of the Criminal Code. An investigation is underway.
