Ministry of Public Utilities explains why heat supply in multi-storey buildings decreased
Gas pressure has decreased in boiler houses in Tashkent, Khorezm and Fergana due to a drop in gas pressure and power outages. 3 boiler houses are temporarily switched off. The situation is not good in boiler houses that supply heat to 3 districts of the capital.
The Ministry of Public Utilities reported that the pressure in the heating system also decreased due to the interruptions in the electricity supply or low gas pressure in the regions.
According to the official report, gas pressure in 21 boiler houses located in Tashkent, Khorezm and Fergana regions is not up to standard, that’s why consumers are being provided with hot water and heat energy at a rate lower than the specified parameters. 3 boiler rooms had to be temporarily shut down due to the abnormal gas pressure.
492 out of 495 boiler houses in the ministerial system continue to operate using existing facilities.
Also, in the capital, heat energy is produced using natural gas in the local boiler houses of “Toshkent issiqlik markazi”, “Toshkent IES” and “Veolia Energy Tashkent”, and the above situation is also observed in the operation of boiler houses of Tashkent’s Heating Center-3, 5 and 9. Heat energy is supplied from these heating centers to residents and social facilities of Shaykhantakhur, Chilanzar and Uchtepa districts.
“Insufficient gas pressure causes boilers to shut down automatically. Of course, in this case, the organizations responsible for heat supply are working in an enhanced mode of mutual cooperation to improve the situation. Specialists are going to places to identify problem areas and are coordinating the work on redistribution of thermal energy,” the official message reads.
