Blogger Abdukodir Muminov attacked and beaten in Tashkent; police investigating the case
Unknown persons beat up blogger and author of the YouTube channel Ko'zgu Abdukodir Muminov. Previously, he criticized the authorities and said that he would create a new political party in Uzbekistan.

The blogger himself reported that on December 23, unknown persons in masks attacked him near his house.
According to him, the attackers were about five. They beat him and damaged his car with a bat. He also noted that his phone, video recorder from the car and flash drive were taken from him. The blogger managed to escape from the scene with bodily injuries.
“They were ready to kill me and they would if I hadn’t escaped,” he said.
According to the press service of the Tashkent police department, Abdukodir Muminov called 102 at about 10:30 pm on December 23 and told police officers about the incident.
The police said that an investigative team arrived at the scene after the call. Five fingerprints and a bat were found there. The flash drive was taken in a procedural manner in order to study the video recordings.
On the above fact, employees of the internal affairs bodies initiated a case under Article 164 (robbery) of the Criminal Code. The head of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of Tashkent instructed to set up an operational group of professionals and start an investigation.
