Several universities in Tashkent shift start time of classes

From January 9, the opening hours of some universities located near metro stations in the capital will change. The list included 31 higher education institutions, the press service of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education (Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation).

On December 22, 2022, a joint decision was made by representatives of the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Higher Education and the Tashkent city administration. Thus, the authorities intend to optimize the passenger flow in the subway during the morning rush hour.

The list included 31 universities. All educational institutions or some faculties of these universities are located near metro stations.

From 08:00, classes will begin at the following universities:

- Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies;
- National University of Uzbekistan;
- Tashkent Medical Academy;
- Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Construction;
- Tashkent Dental Institute.

From 08:30, classes will begin at the following universities:

- National Research University “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers”.

From 09:00, classes will begin at the following universities:

- Tashkent State Pedagogical University (a faculty located near the metro station);
- Singapore Management Development Institute;
- Puchon University in Tashkent;
- Tashkent Institute of Technology, Management and Communications (TMC);
- Tashkent State University of Economics;
- Tashkent branch of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics;
- State Conservatory of Uzbekistan;
- Webster University;
- Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology;
- Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute;
- Tashkent State University of Law;
- Tashkent Financial Institute;
- Tashkent University of Information Technologies;
- Tashkent State Technical University;
- University of World Economy and Diplomacy;
- “New Uzbekistan” University;
- Tashkent State Transport University;
- Uzbekistan State World Languages University (faculty located near the metro station);
- Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry;
- International Islamic Academy;
- Tashkent branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after I. M. Gubkin;
- Turin Polytechnic University;
- Inha University;
- Amity University;
- Yeoju Technical Institute in Tashkent.
