Two jailbreakers of Jizzakh colony-settlement detained in border area of Andijan
On January 4 of this year, it was reported that convicts who were serving their sentences escaped from prison colony No. 30, located in Zafarabad district, Jizzakh region.
According to the MIA Correctional Services Department, in the course of quick-search activities, on the night of January 6, prisoners N.M. and K.A. were caught with the help of the public in one of the border areas of Andijan region and placed in temporary custody.
An investigation has been launched into the case, and it is said that legal evaluation of the actions of prisoners who left the penal institution without permission will be ensured.
According to Article 114 of the Criminal Code, convicts serving their sentences in penal colonies have the right to walk and work without guards within the territory of the colony, and with the permission of the administration – to move outside the colony without supervision.
The convicts who violate the established order are returned to strict supervision, that is, to the special colony, where they have previously served their sentences.
