Cost of renting an apartment in Tashkent announced
Experts from the Institute for Forecasting and Macroeconomic Research analyzed the change in prices for renting apartments in Tashkent in December 2022.
The results showed that the average cost of renting apartments increased compared to November, but the growth rate slowed down. In particular, the average cost in November decreased by 4.4% compared to October, but increased by 3.5% in December.
Prices rose in Shaykhantakhur (10.6%), Mirabad (3.5%) and Yunusabad (3.3%) districts. In other areas of the capital there was a decrease in prices.
For well-appointed apartments located near Oybek, Tashkent, Minor, Buyuk Ipak Yuli metro stations and along Nukus Street, rental prices exceed $1,000.
At the same time, in Chilanzar and Yunusabad districts, rental prices are relatively lower, in particular, the cost of renting renovated apartments is about 400-600 dollars.
The volume of supply of apartments with an average repair is relatively less, and such apartments are offered mainly in the Chilanzar and Yunusabad districts, as well as on Mirzo-Ulugbek Avenue. The cost of renting apartments here is generally 300-800 dollars.
It is noted that apartments in the expensive segment of housing are rented out, as a rule, to foreign citizens who come for temporary work. These apartments are located in areas with developed infrastructure, convenient transport links and close to grocery stores.
“The fact that there are still few apartments in the relatively inexpensive housing segment and they are offered mainly in two districts of the city once again confirms the need to develop the affordable rental housing market,” the experts concluded.
