At the meeting regarding the supply of energy resources to the population, the president criticized the current situation throughout the republic.
“Today, the biggest task of leaders at all levels is to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity and gas to the population. However, the officials of the relevant fields are not doing their job properly,” President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
Due to shortcomings in their work, Deputy Minister of Energy Sherzod Khojaev and the chairman of the joint-stock company Heat Power Stations, Abdurakhmanov, have been dismissed from office.
The heads of Regional Electric Networks (Mustafoyev), Uztransgaz (Normatov) and Uzbekneftegaz (Abdullayev) were also released from their positions, and they were given a 3-month probationary period in their acting positions.
“If certain financial issues of network enterprises were solved in time, if a part of their income was invested and directed to the renewal of networks, the situation would be different today,” it was noted at the meeting.
In this matter too, officials were criticized for their negligence.
Now it is decided that there will be a completely different system – strategic enterprises will be transferred to the Agency for Strategic Reforms.
Also, at the meeting, the governor of the Tashkent region, Zoir Mirzayev, was strictly warned, and the mayor of Chirchik was reprimanded.
