Anti-Corruption Agency begins studying legitimacy of the expenses of Tashkent regional administration
Kun.uz covered several times the dubious circumstances of the administrative transfer of funds to its ICT center during 2022. The Anti-Corruption Agency has begun to study the situation.
“In the Tashkent region, a study of the situation mentioned in the above article has begun. In general, a study on the use of funds in all state bodies and organizations has begun on this issue, the Agency will officially report on the results,” Kun.uz reports with reference to the information provided to the Agency.
For information, the cost of the contract concluded between the Tashkent regional administration and its ICT center in 2022 increased several times during the year, and the contract amount increased from 210 million to 2 billion soums.
Some indications show that these funds may actually have been spent on PR. The administrative information service denied this and stated that the funds were directed to the salaries of 87 employees working in the ICT center, maintenance, the purchase of new equipment, updating the administration’s website, and creating platforms for working with citizens.
