Director of Tashkent regional branch of Khududgaztaminot who was imprisoned during gas shortage released

In December 2022, during the gas shortage in Uzbekistan, it was reported that a criminal case was opened against Muzaffar Aliyev, director of the Tashkent regional branch of Khududgaztaminot for violating the law in the field of energy resources supply, and he was imprisoned.

Today, January 18, according to the information given by the Prosecutor General’s Office, the preventive measure of “imprisonment” used against M. Aliyev, during the investigation, was changed to the precautionary measure of “bail”.

In addition, there is a decision of the Criminal Court on the dismissal of M. Aliyev. Other details will not be disclosed in order to prevent interference and obstruction of the investigation.
