An agreement was signed between Masdar and Goldwind of China for the supply of 111 turbines for the wind power plant under construction in Tomdi district. Accordingly, wind generators and turbines are brought from Lanzhou (China) by special vehicles.
“This power plant will be put into operation at the end of this year, and it is the largest wind power plant in Central Asia,” the report reads.
When the station is fully operational, 1 billion 800 million kWh of electricity will be produced per year. As a result, 540 million cubic meters of natural gas will be saved per year and 720,000 tons of harmful gas will be prevented from being released into the atmosphere.
