ICAO to audit aviation safety in Uzbekistan
On January 20, Deputy Minister of Transport Jasurbek Choriyev met with a delegation of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) headed by Deputy Director of the European and North Atlantic Regional Bureau Elkhan Nakhmedov.
According to the Transport Ministry of Uzbekistan, the meeting discussed aspects of the next audit, planned as part of the mechanism for ongoing monitoring to organize control over ensuring flight safety in our country.
During the conversation, issues related to the preparation, organization and conduct of the next audit of ICAO were also considered.
At the same time, the parties exchanged views on the reforms carried out and the successes achieved since the previous audit carried out in Uzbekistan in 2017.
The meeting participants discussed proposals and issues related to the implementation of a thorough and high-quality preparation for the planned audit and the elimination of existing shortcomings at places and agreed to continue cooperation.
