Over 50% of school graduates end up in labor market without any profession
The Ministry of Preschool and School Education has been tasked with teaching high school students the professions that are in demand in the labor market and at least two foreign languages.
During a meeting with leaders responsible for social spheres, the president noted the importance of acquiring a profession for future school graduates.
In 2022, out of 386 thousand school graduates, 137 thousand entered higher educational institutions, another 20 thousand continued their education in colleges and technical schools.
It was noted that 50% of graduates of the last academic year entered the labor market without any profession.
The Ministry of Preschool and School Education has been given a priority task – from 2023 to start teaching schoolchildren at least two foreign languages and one profession.
