Uzbekistan to introduce a system of online registration of new motor vehicles and issuing number plates

At the meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, it was criticized that it is still necessary to go to the Department of Traffic Safety Service to register cars and get a number plate.
“More than 300,000 customers buy new cars annually. However, it is still necessary to go to the Department of Traffic Safety Service to register and get a number plate,” the President said.
It was criticized that people have to go to the polyclinic every time to get a medical certificate “Form 086”, which is necessary to get a job or study, get a driver’s license, the application for land privatization is submitted online, but since the information in the utility sector is not digitized, the next steps are still being done “manually”.
The Ministry of Digitization, together with relevant ministries and administrations, was tasked with implementing the following:
- integration of 26 information systems on electronic services provided to citizens and entrepreneurs with the Single Portal;
- increasing the number of services provided through this portal from the current 370 to 570;
- introduction of online state registration and numbering system of new motor vehicles;
- transferring 8 other types of notarial actions to the online form;
- introduction of a digital system of water accounting in a total of about 11,000 water management facilities;
- transfer of more than 2,000 reclamation monitoring wells to the automated monitoring system;
- covering all medical institutions with a local network, fully equipping them with computers;
- launching a $50 million project to digitize medicine.
